     There is no record of the birth of James in the Mere PRs. However the family had had interests in other villages in the area. John and Ann are far and away the most likely parents. They are only Dodington family having children in the area around this time and the Mere PRs has an 8 year gap in their family baptisms after Dec 1708 until Dec 1716.
