Individual Note:
This entry is a link from the Beard Family to Charles Silvester Horne. The two were associated in and around Newport Shropshire. Silvester grew up in the Congregationalist Church community in Newport where George Beard was a leading light. George moved to Euxley Farm in Outwoods nearby in the early 1880s and it was in George Beard's kitchen there that Silvester reputedly preached his first sermon in his teenage years. Silvester went on to become a prominant Congregationalist preacher both nationallyand Internationally. George founded the tiny Congregationalist chapel in Outwoods in 1885.
